Say the A
It's pronounced with an 'a' - as in chun-duh-na - but it's spelt with one missing, as in Chandna, instead of Chandana. But you can call me practically whatever you wish to, provided it doesn't make the general unsuspecting public blush.
Welcome to my world. I'm Chandna Arora. It's been almost 22 years and I have to agree - the air was much better when I was born. But then Indira Gandhi was still around and common mortals did not have easy access to the net, so some things are better today. Plus I'm there, although if you're among those who have had to try waking me up, that might not give you much to cheer about.
I sleep and live in Delhi, more the former than the latter. Currently, I sleep most often in a classroom at 10, Daryaganj, pretending to attend classes of the Times School of Journalism. As for where I'm going from here, I have magnanimously left it to the HR department of Bennet, Coleman and Company Ltd.
This magnanimity corresponds perfectly with my discovery of the perfect excuse some time ago:
"Not all those who wander are lost."
- J.R.R. Tolkien
Unfortunately, I did not actually invent this one, or I would have had something to my credit by now. Be that as it may, I don't see how Tolkien did it either. He was famous, busy and a "focussed" writer, from what I know. He must have meant for me to adopt it whenever I deigned to grace the planet with my presence, so here I am.
But I'm going off for a short nap now. Meanwhile, enjoy. If you happen to have nothing else to do and are desperate for occupation, click here to mail me. And if you happen to get lost, you know what to say.
